About the UTHealth Houston School of Behavioral Health Sciences
The School of Behavioral Health Sciences was approved by The University of Texas System Board of Regents in 2022 and by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in 2023. The school is an academic unit of UTHealth Houston and supports graduate education and training in behavioral health disciplines.
The school offers interdisciplinary academic programs in clinical psychology, clinical social work, and cognitive and behavioral sciences. Programs emphasize disciplinary foundations, professional preparation, and research engagement consistent with UTHealth Houston’s role as a comprehensive health sciences institution.
