Dual and pathway degree programs at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health are designed so the curricula of both degrees are integrated to the greatest extent possible. Through these programs, students are able to complete two degrees in a shorter time period than pursuing both separately as some specified courses can count toward both degrees. Students interested in a dual degree program must apply and receive admission to each institution, respectively, according to the application procedures and meet the requirements of each institution. The maximum number of transfer (i.e. shared) credits that can apply to a degree program at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health, as part of a dual degree program, is outlined in Policy 308 Transfer of Credit Hours. Students should contact the program coordinator for the dual degree program for further information.
