Continuing Medical Education (CME)

McGovern Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Additionally, McGovern Medical School certifies activities for Maintenance of Certification and Continuous Certification for various medical specialty boards and partners with the Cizik School of Nursing for nursing continuing professional development accreditation.

McGovern Medical School hosts live, interactive lecture-based instruction, case-based discussion, hands-on training sessions, small-group workshops, and internet-based asynchronous enduring materials. The CME portfolio of programs includes regularly scheduled series and conferences covering a broad range of topics in all medical specialties, sponsored by various McGovern Medical School departments and divisions.

CME activities are open to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other interprofessional providers who practice primary, specialty, and subspecialty care, as well as medical students and trainees.
